Good question! For starters, the annual cost of a full-time senior-level designer now exceeds $100,000, not including the perks and recruitment expenses it takes to hire them. Apart from that, you may not always have enough work to keep them busy at all times, so you're stuck paying for time you aren't able to utilize.
With the Volt membership, you can pause and resume your subscription as often as you need to ensure you're only paying your designer when you have work available for them. Done with all design requests? Cancel your subscription at any point.

We get it, you might not need a ton of design stuff every month. Maybe you've got just one or two things design now. That's totally cool – you can just pause your subscription after that. Our billing goes by a 31-day month. Let's say you subscribe today, use it for 21 days, and then hit pause. No sweat, your billing stops, and you've got 10 days of design left to use whenever you want in the next 6 months.

Calls and meetings have their place, but in our years of working with clients, we find that they can take up an unnecessary amount of time and energy. We are a remote-first team and communicate async, using a combination of free tools like Trello, Loom, or email. In doing so, we're able to keep costs low and efficiency high, for both of us.

On average, most tasks are done in just 1-3 days. More complex projects will take longer. This will depend on the type of design request. For example, a single landing page takes around 3 days. Obviously, a complex 7-page website design will take much more than that. Most revision requests also take around 1-3 days.

We use Figma, Adobe Illustrator and Canva.

No problem! Volt membership includes unlimited revisions, so we'll keep revising and improving until you're 100% satisfied.

We don't do the following:
3D modeling, animated graphics, document design (forms, etc.), complex packaging, and extensive print design (magazines, books, etc.). We also don't do any custom coding for websites, mobile apps, Shopify etc.
